II have been a working artist, an employee, and a salon owner. I built a team from nothing, made payroll during the hardest stretches, and made the calls that protected the bigger picture when staying comfortable would have been easier. That range of experience gives me a level of understanding of this industry that most people in corporate roles simply do not have.
In 2017, I acquired what was then Allure Salon and Spa. In 2020, I rebuilt it completely, with a new name, a new location, and a new way of doing business. Allure Beauty Bar was a full reinvention. We built an environment our guests genuinely wanted to be part of, and the industry noticed: five-time Salon Today Top 200, a NAHA nomination, a seat on the PBA Salon and Spa Advisory Council. Those recognitions came from building something real.
We became the number one extension salon in the region because we were obsessive about getting it right. We studied brands extensively, ran trials, and held ourselves to a standard most salons never reach before introducing a service to a guest. That process led us to Drop Dead Hair Extensions, and the results spoke for themselves. We built deep expertise, trained our team to a level that set us apart, and earned a reputation that traveled well beyond our market. We also built a wedding hair and makeup team that grew faster than we expected, and a traveling show and events team that took us to national productions at Premier Beauty Shows in California and Florida and the America's Beauty Show in Chicago, where we worked backstage in model rooms, on stage, and on set at photo shoots.
Over time, Allure became a trusted resource for our industry partners. Color brands, tech companies, and product developers sought us out for beta testing, new product launches, and honest feedback from a team that was actually behind the chair. I consulted directly with many of them on product development. That relationship between the salon floor and the brand side is something you earn, not something you manufacture, and it shaped how I think about this industry at every level.
Closing Allure was a decision. I had outgrown what ownership, as proud as I was of what we built, could hold. I wanted to reach more people and operate on a larger stage, so I let go of what I thought I needed and stepped into what I actually want.
What I believe now
Our industry runs on burnout dressed up as dedication. Professionals give everything to their chairs, their guests, and their brands, and the systems around them rarely give equal attention to what keeps a person able to sustain that. I believe the next era of beauty leadership has to include real alignment work, not as a wellness add-on, but as infrastructure. How a leader regulates herself under pressure, how clearly she can read what a room actually needs, how honestly she can recalibrate when something stops working: that capacity shapes every business decision downstream of it. I have spent the past year deepening my own practice in energy work and alignment, and it has changed how I lead, how I build, and how I know when something is actually right versus when it just looks right on paper. An industry built on artistry and human connection cannot keep operating on pure hustle. It has to get honest about what actually sustains the people doing the work.
I believe beauty should lead the charge on innovation instead of trailing behind it. That belief is what led me to found Arise, an AI color formulation app built for professional colorists. I had been using AI tools with my own team and realized I was building something that simply did not exist yet for the average stylist. Hair color is a universal language, and the technology behind it should be too.
I am a stage educator, a contributing writer for the professional beauty industry, and a strategist who brings two decades of lived experience into every room I walk into. I bring brands a salon perspective they cannot manufacture, because I lived it, behind the chair, on the floor, building something real. Closing Allure ended one chapter, not the story. The recalibration since has been as much internal as external, and I am building the next chapter with more clarity than I have ever had. I am not done.
Built for brands. Proven on every level.
